ALL BUSINESS TEMPORARILY PAUSED.
With all adventure comes risk, and in my case that took the form of a very nasty crash in the Himalayas a week ago.
I flew back to the UK for emergency surgery and am now playing the waiting and healing game in a London hospital.
I have messaged my existing clients that have work booked in but I won’t be taking on future work for another 4-6 weeks at least.
Thanks for all of your kind words already and I’ll be back at the boilers in no time!

Top tip
DO NOT GO THROUGH AN AGENCY!
They’ll most likely be the first Google result.

I’ve just done a job for an agency who have charged the customer twice my rate for answering the phone and arranging the job. 😯

If I’m busy and can’t get to you in an emergency then I will happily recommend fellow great gas engineers.
Please don’t fall victim to call centre agencies!

We live in a salty environment. Whilst it's often delightful, the waves and the sea air, it can also bring complications. Like this boiler on the Gannel.
This boiler is serviced every year, so you can see how crucial it is to keep it clean and free of damaging salt deposits. This time I stripped, refurbished and rebuilt the fan to get it working again as it had failed. The boiler has been thoroughly cleaned and back in working order again.
It's quite nerdy but this was a very satisfying job to work on.

This is not work related but is definitely worth mentioning.
A while back the kids had a great birthday party paintballing at On Target Outdoor Newquay.
There were lots of laughs, especially when I dressed up as a pink bunny and ran around the arena unarmed trying (failing miserably) to dodge the barrage of paintballs. 💪 😂 😅
I spent the next hour taking them all out to balance the odds a lttle. 😂
The guys running it provided a great experience and we'll definitely be back!
Highly recommend it to anyone looking for something different.

Today was an interesting one...
A roofing failure had flooded the inside of this boiler.
We got really lucky as I managed to isolate and dry out each and every component and narrowly avoid what was otherwise a death sentence to the boiler.
