This week, we’re introducing you to another member of the team here at Liam Stafford Funeral Directors & Stonemasons — Katie.

Although Katie has known Liam for several years through working within the funeral profession, she officially joined our team in August 2025, after moving to Shropshire during her maternity leave.

For Katie, one of the most rewarding parts of her role is being able to support families through one of the most difficult times in their lives.

“I take great pride in knowing that I can make a difficult time a little easier for a family, while ensuring their loved one is always treated with the utmost respect.”

Katie believes excellent care is about treating every family as if they were her own — listening to what matters to them, being there throughout the whole journey and paying attention to the little details that can make such a difference.

Away from work, Katie enjoys playing hockey, spending time with friends and family, visiting farms, going on adventures and holidays, and making memories together.

And the three words Katie feels describe her best?

Compassionate. Caring. Dedicated.

We’re very proud to have Katie as part of the Liam Stafford team.

A beautiful setting at St Andrew’s Church, Weston-under-Lizard, where we recently had the privilege of supporting a family as they said farewell to their loved one.

Every funeral entrusted to our care is carried out with the utmost dignity, respect and attention to detail, ensuring each farewell is as personal and meaningful as the life being remembered.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the family for entrusting us with the care of their loved one and allowing our team to support them at such an important and difficult time.

It is a privilege to serve the communities of Newport, Gnosall, Telford and the surrounding areas, helping families create meaningful and personal farewells for those they love.

Meet The Team | Ryan

This week in our new meet the team series, we’d like to introduce Ryan, who has been part of Liam Stafford Funeral Directors almost from the very beginning, joining the team a couple of months after we first opened our doors.

For Ryan, one of the most rewarding parts of his role is knowing that the work we do can genuinely make a difference to a family during one of the most difficult times in their lives. Being able to offer guidance, take some of the pressure away and help create a meaningful and fitting farewell is something he takes great pride in.

Ryan believes that providing excellent care means never forgetting the responsibility that comes with being entrusted with somebody’s loved one. It’s about giving families our time, listening to what matters to them and ensuring that even the smallest details are handled properly, while treating every person who comes into our care with dignity and the utmost respect.

Away from work, Ryan enjoys spending time with his partner, his little boy and their puppy, getting out and about together and making plenty of memories as a family.

If Ryan had to describe himself in just three words, they would be driven, caring and dependable.

Having been with us since the early days, Ryan has been a valued part of the journey at Liam Stafford Funeral Directors.

It feels like Newport Show was ages ago now, but we wanted to say a final thank you to everyone who came along to see us and supported us on the day.

We had a fantastic time at our first Newport Show, meeting so many familiar faces as well as introducing ourselves to new ones from across the local community.

We’re also delighted to share that, thanks to your generosity, we were able to raise £110 for Newport Cottage Care, supporting the fantastic and vital work they provide within our community.

Thank you again to everyone who stopped by, had a chat and supported us. We thoroughly enjoyed being part of such a brilliant local event and look forward to hopefully seeing you all again next year.

£110 raised for a wonderful local cause. Thank you!
