❄️ Why do AC engineers seem to dislike so many different brands? 🤔
Something I’ve noticed since getting more involved with air conditioning is just how strongly some engineers feel about certain brands.
You’ll mention a particular manufacturer and straight away hear, “They’re rubbish!”, “I wouldn’t fit one of those!” or “Stick to this brand instead.”
But when you ask why they’re rubbish, quite often there doesn’t seem to be much actual evidence behind it. No specific reliability problems, failure rates, technical issues or first-hand experience — just a really strong opinion.
Obviously every engineer will have brands they prefer working with, and experience counts for a lot. But there’s a difference between “I prefer this brand” and “that brand is rubbish.”
So I’m genuinely interested to hear from the AC engineers:
👉 What brands do you rate and why?
👉 What brands don’t you rate — and what specifically is wrong with them?
👉 Is it reliability, parts availability, technical support, installation, warranty, build quality or something else?
👉 Or is there actually very little between most of the established manufacturers when they’re installed and commissioned properly?
Let’s have some actual experiences and facts rather than just “because I said so!” 😂
What do you really think of the different AC brands out there? 👇
