⚡ Another full and busy week for Massey Electrics ⚡

It’s been a productive week with a variety of jobs completed and ongoing across different properties.

Here’s what we’ve been up to:

✅ Second-fix finishing work on a garden outhouse.

✅ Replacing faulty switches to match the existing style throughout a conservatory.

✅ Upgrading lighting in another property.

✅ Continuing with an EICR (Electrical Installation Condition Report).

✅ Converting a single socket to a double socket, allowing decorating work to continue.

✅ Quoting for plenty of exciting upcoming projects!

A big mix of jobs this week, keeping us busy and making sure our customers’ electrical needs are taken care of.

Don't let heating wiring errors compromise your home. Following a referral from a gas engineer AW Gas & Heating Services Ltd who spotted a boiler during a service that was incorrectly wired, we stepped to correct the configuration.
Improper wiring can prevent your system from cooling down properly like in this case, risking damage. We expertly rewired the setup and replaced the faulty programmer also, ensuring this boiler operates safely and efficiently.

⚡ Another busy week for Massey Electrics ⚡

We kicked things off by installing an outside light for one customer, getting them prepared for the darker evenings ahead. We also rectified some wiring issues in a garage where the earth/CPC had incorrectly been used as a live conductor — an absolute no-no! ⚠️ Safety always comes first.

Moving on to our next customer, we upgraded the majority of their sockets to a sleek polished chrome finish, including installing additional sockets and converting single sockets into doubles.

We rounded off the week with quotations and fault finding on a faulty lighting circuit, successfully getting it tested and back up and running. 💡

⚡ Another Consumer Unit Upgrade by Massey Electrics ⚡
We recently attended a rented property to carry out an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR).
During our investigations, we identified a number of electrical safety issues, including:
Broken and damaged sockets
Damaged lighting accessories
No CPC/earth detected at the hob and oven
The lack of a CPC (earth) meant that, in the event of an electrical fault, the protective device may not operate as intended, increasing the risk of electric shock or fire.
We rectified the affected circuit and restored it to safe and reliable service. We also upgraded the consumer unit to provide improved protection and bring the installation up to a much safer standard.

Busy start to our week at Massey Electrics, 2nd fix of an annex, plenty of sockets and lights. Followed by upgrading works to a property off the back of an EICR done last week. One upgrade at a time. Making properties safer.

This week, Massey Electrics attended a property after being referred by a local gas engineer who was fitting a new gas hob.
Unfortunately, the electrical installation was in very poor condition and the existing supply even caused the fuse to blow. We were on hand to assess the situation, remove the dangerous electrical issues and carry out the necessary remedial work.
Our customer is now very happy to have their new hob and oven safely up and running.
It’s a great reminder of the dangers that can be hidden behind an oven and kitchen appliances.
We also advised the customer on the benefits of having an EICR (Electrical Installation Condition Report) carried out, along with the potential benefits of upgrading the existing consumer unit.
