ThermalVent are delighted to be sponsoring the Milford United Under 8s Reds home kit for the 2026/27 season. We’re really pleased to be supporting the team and the young players who represent Milford Haven every weekend.

As we come to the close of another year, we want to take a moment to thank all of our valued clients for your continued trust and partnership. It’s been a pleasure working with you, and we look forward to achieving even greater success together in the new year.

Office Associate

Due to company growth a position has become available for an Office Associate within our Milford Haven Office. This position will be on a full-time basis Monday to Friday and will require the successful candidate to work alongside both the office and site teams.

As well as carrying out the administrative duties for both the office and workshop, the successful candidate will also be required to work alongside our estimating department preparing tenders and administrative duties associated with the enquiries received from clients and estimating manager.

Roles include:

• General office administration
• Running of the workshop administrative entities
• Dealing with incoming telephone calls and emails
• Costing up of workshop job cards using costing software
• Working alongside our Directors, Estimating Manager & Workshop Manager
• Working alongside the estimating department when required
• Greeting clients when they arrive and directing them to the respective personnel
• Scanning, photocopying and filing of documents
• Managing of office supplies
• Working with Microsoft office and estimating software’s

Required Skills:

• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Active listening skills
• Experience in the use of computer software’s such as Microsoft office
• Strong organisational skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Working Hours - 36 hours per week (Monday to Friday) - Negotiable

Salary – To be discussed

Experience required – Suitable knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes

All training will be provided in association to the estimating department

We are pleased to announce that we have become a full member of TICA. - Thermal Insulation Contractors Association - TICA

This has opened up the opportunity to obtain quality advice and training within the HVAC sector.

Becoming a member of TICA allows ThermalVent (Wales & West) to introduce individuals into the sector through the apprenticeship scheme and train them to a high standard both at the TICA training facility in Darlington and alongside our experienced workforce on our projects throughout Wales and the South West.

Thermal Insulation Technician (Apprenticeship)

ThermalVent (Wales & West) have opportunities available for a Thermal Insulation Technician Apprenticeship. This position will be based in and around the Newport and Cardiff area. This position will provide the individual to gain skills and qualifications within the insulation sector and how to apply insulation and cladding products to a variety of pipework and ventilation systems as well as acoustic insulation, trace heating and fire protection systems.

The successful candidate will be on the basis of a 3-6 month probation period prior to be placed on the apprenticeship scheme.

Successful apprentices will have the opportunity of on the job training across a variety of our current and future sites, which vary from Schools, Office Blocks and Hospital facilities as well as classroom learning.

Role Duties:
• Applying a variety of insulation materials to pipework and ventilation systems
• Applying a variety of cladding finishes to pipework and ventilation systems
• Applying fire rated insulation to fire rated ventilation systems
• Trace heating to pipework systems for both frost protection and heat maintenance
• Liaising with site teams to understand the requirement for specific sites
• Liaising with the procurement team within our Milford Haven Office prior to and whilst on sites

Required Skills:
• Ability to work both as an individual and as part of a team
• Be able to use own initiative
• Be comfortable with working and staying away from home
• Ability to adapt to working environments e.g., at heights and within confined spaces
• Good time management skills
• Ability to conduct themselves in an appropriate manner as you will be representing the whole company on any sites attended
• Be able to overcome obstacles and be willing to learn

Requirements – N/A, all training will be provided

Working Hours – Basic 38 hours per week
