We currently have vacancies for the following at our Martock factory:
Yard Supervisor
Yard supervisor required to oversee and control all yard and material movement operations at our busy Martock factory.
Responsibilities and duties will include:
* Unloading of delivery vehicles using counterbalance and side loader forklifts
* Organization of storage areas in yard to ensure steel is stacked safely and logically
* Ensure all yard operations are carried out to a high Health & Safety standard
* Stock Control of materials including detailed record keeping, checking of material lists and organization of storage locations
* Loading delivery vehicles in safe and logical manner to agreed schedules and timelines
* Organise, control and manage steel material movements into and from the factory to suit production schedules
* Liaison with painting department moving and storing materials as necessary plus ensure works are being carried out to required production schedules
* Close liaison with Factory supervisor and manager to ensure smooth running of yard operations to suit production and delivery schedules
Competitive rates offered and good working conditions. Candidates must have experience of a similar role and experience of the structural steel industry would be advantageous. Candidate should live locally or be able to travel to Martock on a daily basis
