Freshly landing at Mistley Quay Saturday – Type 1 granite, direct from our trusted partners in Norway. This high-spec material is now in stock and ready for immediate use across the local construction industry.

And we’re not just about great products – we’ve got the logistics covered too.
Thanks to our sister company JT Few, we have access to one of the largest fleets in Suffolk – 38 lorries ranging from 1t to 29t – ready to get material to your site when and where you need it.

We’re proud to say that the granite we bring into Mistley originates from a truly unique and sustainable source – the Oslo Metro (T-banen) Fornebu Line project in Norway.

This major infrastructure project is extending the metro network and generating high-quality granite as part of its tunneling and construction work. Rather than this material going to waste, it’s being crushed onsite at the quarry and transported directly to the quayside, ready to be shipped to Mistley for use in the local construction market.

Why is this sustainable?

Reduced environmental impact: By reusing material from the Oslo Metro project, we avoid the need for fresh quarrying, lowering the overall carbon footprint.

Minimal transport emissions: The material is crushed and processed onsite before being loaded straight onto vessels, eliminating unnecessary haulage.

Supporting circular economy principles: This is a perfect example of transforming a by-product from one project into a valuable resource for another.

This approach not only aligns with our sustainability goals but also ensures our customers receive premium granite with a story of responsible sourcing.

Yesterday was all about exploring the stunning Welsh landscape and visiting Welsh Slate in Snowdon, owned by 🌄 We had the chance to view their beautiful plum slate and a range of other high-quality materials that we’re looking to bring into Mistley by ship. 🚢

This slate is not only visually striking but also perfect for a wide range of construction and landscaping projects. Excited about the possibilities and future collaborations!
