We recently carried out work for a returning customer, replacing a failed flat roof and giving it a completely new lease of life.

The existing roof had failed, so we stripped it back and set about creating a long-lasting solution:

🏡 Another flat roof project completed! 🏡

We’ve recently completed this flat roof using Restec 20/20, finished with a ResGrip top coat containing granules to provide a durable, textured surface with excellent grip.

The area is going to be used as a balcony overlooking the customer’s beautiful garden, so creating a safe, hard-wearing and low-maintenance finish was especially important. 🌿

As part of the project, we also replaced all the fascias and gutters, giving the property a fresh, finished look.

🏠 Another flat roof project completed!

Here’s a small warm flat roof we recently completed using the Flexitec 20/20 system.

We started by cutting and installing our firring pieces to achieve the correct falls then the vapour barrier, followed by 150mm PIR insulation and 18mm OSB over the top. The roof was then finished with the Flexitec system and complemented with welted lead cappings to the parapet walls.

The result is a great combination of modern performance with a traditional finish — we think it looks fantastic! 👌

A recent repair we carried out involved replacing the lead flashings above these two beautiful windows.
Unfortunately, the existing lead flashing had very little cover over the timber below, allowing water to pe*****te and causing the timber to rot over time.

To put things right, we removed all the rotten timber, treated the affected areas behind it, and installed new timber before fabricating and fitting a brand-new lead flashing. We also used copper fixing tags to help secure the lead, ensuring a durable, long-lasting finish.

Not only has this repair protected the property from future water ingress, but it has also completely refreshed the appearance of the windows. The new leadwork really makes them stand out and adds to the character of this stunning home.

Another failed GRP roof transformed!

This property's existing GRP roof had failed, with multiple splits throughout the surface. We also found there was no roof ventilation, despite it being designed as a cold roof. Without adequate ventilation, moisture can build up and cause long-term issues.

Here's what we did:
✅ Removed the failed roof system
✅ Re-decked the roof with new 18mm OSB boards
✅ Installed new fascias
✅ Fitted ventilated soffits and soffit vents where required to ensure proper airflow

🏡 Another roof brought back to its best!

This property needed a bit of TLC after a failed roof valley was allowing water ingress. We removed the old valley and installed a new GRP valley trough before carefully rebedding the tiles to create a durable, watertight finish. 💪

We also found the eaves felt had failed, with water running behind the guttering and causing damp to the walls. To put things right, we installed new eaves support trays and replaced the felt so rainwater now flows correctly into the gutter where it belongs. 🌧️✅

To finish the job, we gave the roof a full moss scrape followed by a professional biocide treatment. This not only improves the appearance of the roof but also helps prevent future moss growth, keeping the tiles performing at their best for years to come.

🏡 Recently Completed – Lean-To Roof Installation 🔨

Here's a recently completed lean-to roof project by the Moss Bros Roofing team.

As the roof was fully boarded, we installed counter battens to ensure the correct airflow and ventilation before fitting Jutland fibre cement slates. We also installed three electric Velux roof windows, bringing plenty of natural light into the space, and finished everything with Code 4 lead cover flashings for a high-quality, long-lasting finish.
