Paving & Patio Installation: Laid charcoal block paving with a contrasting light border to form the main walkway and patio area, complete with a stepped raised paving section along the back fence.

Gravel Drainage Detail: Installed decorative stone borders along the boundary edges to ensure effective surface water drainage and clean lines.

Site Clearance: Ripped out old concrete slabs, brambles, and roots, using 5 grab wagons to clear off all the waste and muck.

Excavation & Sub-Base: Dug deep across the entire site and imported 40 tonnes of Type 1 MOT, fully compacted for a bulletproof sub-base.

Custom Block Edging: Installed a sleek, dark charcoal kerb border to cleanly partition the lawn from the main driveway space.

Fresh Turf: Prepped a rich topsoil bed and laid 60m² of premium new turf for an instant green upgrade.

Driveway Prep: Fully prepped a massive 115m² block-paved driveway area—laying down the foundation right so it lasts for years.

Over the past two weeks, the TA Landscapes & Groundworks team has been hard at work taking on a massive 480m² shared driveway project over in Preston!

What started as a messy, demanding site has now been completely transformed into a clean, precise, tarmac-ready canvas.

Here’s how we engineered this one from the ground up:

Water Management: Installed new gully systems and ACO channels throughout to guarantee surface water drains away perfectly. 💧

Precision Prep: Self-engineered the entire area using string lines, tapes, pins, and levels to get the falls and contours bang-on. 📐

Ironwork & Grading: Raised all manhole covers to final height and graded/compacted the aggregate to a solid 90mm base layer, perfectly prepared for a 60/30 tarmac finish.

The site is officially prepped and handed over to the tarmacers to lay the final surface.

A big thanks to Barlow Construction for bringing us on for this project in Preston—we’ve got even more exciting work in the pipeline together soon.

Back on site for a couple of weeks. The job entailed installing duct boxs. 100mm and 50mm ducts for communications, and electrical gates on a school in Wythenshawe to provide more security!

Ensuring safety to dig, we utilised the CAT and Jenny- previous service drawing - and of course, experience on machinery.

We aren't messing around on this one. We've brought in the heavy machinery and 35 tonnes of aggregate to completely reshape and secure the ground. We have reconstructed the ground building a 3 tiered sleeper and herringbone block paving.

We’re well into the thick of it now, and the hard work is paying off. Stay tuned to see how the rest of this massive transformation comes together! 🎦
