One of the emergency call outs this week was for a shower that had started smoking while the customer was using it. Obviously the customer was very worried and wanted to get the problem solved ASAP as it was the only shower in the house.

Attended and found the more than crispy cable inside after making the circuit safe.

After some testing and checking the rating of the shower it turned out that the existing shower was overloading the circuit.

Unfortunately this meant the customer had to downgrade the shower and after spending a large amount of money on a new bathroom less than 2 years ago this was not ideal.

New shower supplied and fitted the same day with no mess or damage.
