🚧 GROUNDWORKER WANTED – LONG-TERM WORK 🚧

Reids Construction Ltd are looking for an experienced Groundworker to join our team due to a long stretch of secured work across South East England.

We’re looking for someone reliable, hardworking and happy to get stuck in with all aspects of groundworks.

Requirements:

* Previous groundwork experience is essential
* Must be able to drive or reliably get to an agreed pick-up point every morning
* Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team
* Good attitude and standard of workmanship

What we offer:

* Long-term, consistent work with a very good run of projects ahead
* Pay dependent on experience
* Weekend work available for those wanting additional hours
* All tools provided
* Variety of groundwork projects across the South East

Attenuation Tank Installation

A look back at a large-scale attenuation tank completed by our team earlier this year.

The works included bulk excavation, formation and stone base preparation, followed by the installation of the attenuation crates and fully sealed membrane system.

Designed to temporarily store surface water during periods of heavy rainfall before releasing it at a controlled rate into the drainage network.

Another specialist drainage project completed.

From engineer’s drawings to final reinstatement, this project demanded precision at every stage.

Working from the approved design, our team carried out the full installation, including:
• Bulk excavation and temporary shoring.
• Concrete base installation.
• Installation of the precast chamber.
• Deep bore soakaway with siphon head connection.
• Brickwork, cover slab and drainage connections.
• Backfilling, compaction and full reinstatement.

When ground conditions or site constraints mean a traditional soakaway isn’t suitable, a deep bore soakaway provides a highly effective engineered solution, allowing surface water to discharge safely into permeable strata below.

Projects like this highlight what we enjoy most—complex groundworks that require planning, accuracy and a skilled team to deliver them safely and to specification.

A massive thank you to the lads for another quality installation from start to finish. It’s great to stand back and see the transformation from a deep excavation to a fully completed system that’s ready to perform for years to come.

Another project wrapped up and ready for the next stage 🌿

We recently completed the groundworks for a brand new greenhouse, starting with the careful removal of the old structure to make way for a fresh build.

The new base includes a solid 225mm reinforced concrete slab, topped with 8 courses of beautiful seaford red bricks. We added lime to the mortar to soften the tone and give a more traditional finish that complements the garden setting perfectly.

At the client’s request, we also incorporated cold frames to the front — a great addition for functionality and growing space.

To finish it all off, we laid Kandla grey Indian sandstone internally, bringing a clean and durable look to the space.

Looking forward to seeing the greenhouse installed and in full use 🌱
