With the football transfer frenzy in full swing, Captain Chaos has been signed to the digging squad!
Instead of cheering him on from the sidelines, I'm coughing my way through the match and offering the occasional bit of tactical advice. The first whistle has blown on a brand-new flower bed... watch this space!

Even though I feel under the weather, there is a distinct kind of magic that calls me to the garden just as the sun goes down. Tonight, as the heavy heat of the day finally broke and the air turned beautifully cool, I couldn’t resist a gentle wander through the borders with my camera.
​There is something so incredibly grounding about the garden at dusk. The vibrant colors of midday soften into a romantic, hazy tapestry, and the quiet stillness takes over.
​Here are a few moments captured from this evening's peaceful stroll:

The garden truly is the best medicine, even if it’s just a slow, quiet walk to breathe in the cool air and appreciate the beauty of a summer evening.

Feeling the effects of a viral cold today and I have the energy levels of a gnat.
They say a cold lasts seven days if you treat it, and a week if you don't.
So, by my calculations, I'm somewhere around the halfway point.
Taking all of that into consideration, I've decided to do bu**er all today.
The garden can look after itself.
