🐦 See if you can spot the robin in the second photo!
This overgrown pathway had almost disappeared beneath brambles and ground elder, but with a little careful work it is now accessible again.
Whenever I tackle an area like this, I try to work thoughtfully, giving wildlife the chance to move to nearby undisturbed areas and taking care not to disturb nesting birds. The robin in the second photo certainly approved, keeping me company while collecting insects for its hungry fledglings nearby!
Creating a garden that works for both people and nature is often about finding the right balance, and it is always rewarding to see a space become enjoyable again while keeping wildlife in mind.
