From first set-out to finished outdoor living space 🌿

This carousel shows the full journey of our recent composite decking project in Charnwood, from the early groundwork and sub-frame preparation through to the boards, lighting, trims, borders and final styling.

Over 16 days on site, the space was transformed into a finished outdoor area complete with composite decking, integrated lighting, decorative stone, ornamental pots, outdoor rug, and an aluminium sofa set with gas firepit table.

A huge thank you to our client for trusting us with the project, and to everyone who followed the progress from day one.

The finished space is now complete, styled, and ready to enjoy.

Project complete in Charnwood 🌿

After 16 days on site, this composite decking project is officially finished.

From the initial groundwork and sub-frame through to the boards, lighting, trims, fascias, decorative stone and final styling, this has been a brilliant project to bring together.

The finished space now includes a full composite deck, integrated lighting, low-maintenance border finish, ornamental pots, an outdoor rug, and an aluminium sofa set with gas firepit table, ready to be properly enjoyed.

And of course, no new outdoor living space is complete until it’s declared open with a bottle of champagne.

A huge thank you to our customer for trusting us with the space, and to everyone who followed along with the progress from day one.

Project update from our composite decking build in Charnwood 🌿

It’s been a little while since our last update, but there’s been plenty happening on site.

The main deck is now complete, with all boards laid, trims and fascias fitted, and the lighting installed, tested, and wired back to a single output point ready for our electrician to connect into the house.

We’ve also been working closely with the customer on the planting scheme, and with support from our partners at Hathern Nurseries, we’ve managed to pull together a planting selection that should finish the space beautifully.

There are still a few finishing touches to go, tidying the edging, completing the borders, and bringing the planting scheme together, but the decking itself is now complete.

A full planting update will follow separately.

Day 10/11 progress on our composite decking project in Charnwood 🌿

A long couple of days on site, working through the details that start to make the finished result come together.

We’ve continued laying the composite boards, installed and wired in the second and third courses of deck lighting, and completed some of the more awkward cuts around the edges and detail sections.

This is the stage of the job where the extra care really starts to show, careful measuring, clean cuts, tight alignment and millimetre-level adjustments to make sure the finish feels considered, not rushed.

Board by board, light by light, the deck is taking shape.

Day 9 progress on our composite decking project in Charnwood 🌿

Today was a smaller update, but a big visual step forward.

The first section of composite boards is now down, the first run of deck lights has been wired in and tested, and the client had the first walk across the fixed-down boards.

It’s always a good moment when the project starts moving from framework to finished surface.

Day 7/8 progress on our composite decking project in Charnwood 🌿

A big milestone reached on site: the main sub-frame is now complete, levelled, and solid.

We’ve also started laying the first composite boards, mapped out and integrated the first set of deck lights, and the finished surface is finally beginning to appear.

To top it off, we had a visit from our suppliers at Assured Composite today and are proud to announce that Everso Local is now an approved installer of Assured Composite decking.

A great step forward for this project, and a proud step forward for us as a business.

Built properly. Approved officially.

Day 5/6 progress on our composite decking project in Charnwood 🌿

A busy couple of days on site, with an early start, a late finish, and a bit of evening quoting in between, so we’re combining this update into one.

The sub-frame is now close to completion, supporting plinths are being prepared, and the next phase of the build is starting to come into view.

We also battled through a full British weather sampler: sun, hail, rain and wind all in one afternoon, repaired the gazebo after it took a bit of a beating, and took receipt of the deck lighting package ready for the finishing stages.

Not the most glamorous part of the project, but definitely one of the most important.

The structure is coming together.

Day 4 on our composite decking project in Charnwood 🌿

Today was all about getting the frame height and structure dialled in properly.

We reset and confirmed the finished sub-frame height, fixed the house-side section into position, refined the perimeter edge detail, and started building up the first section of frame to finished level.

There was also a slightly-too-early CAD session to rework the edge profile, but thankfully, it worked a treat on site.

This is the stage where all the details start to matter: height, lines, levels, edge finish and the structure that everything else will sit on.

The details are starting to align.

Day 3 progress on our composite decking project in Charnwood 🌿

The weather tried to slow things down, so the gazebo went up… naturally, the rain stopped almost immediately.

Today was all about keeping steady momentum: setting up the new mitre saw for cleaner cuts, continuing with the sub-frame layout, starting to fix the first corner section together, and resetting some of the existing loose slabs where needed.

It might not be the glamorous stage yet, but this is where the finished result starts to earn its quality.

Day 2 on our composite decking project in Charnwood 🌿

Another solid day on site, with the main decking materials delivered, the sub-frame layout underway, and our CAD/planning now being checked against the real-world space.

We also had our apprentice on site today… still early in training, but enthusiasm levels are high 🐾
