🌳✂️ Another hedge conquered!

Jon and Ethan were out tackling a hedge job today, giving everything a much-needed trim and getting things looking neat and tidy again!

A bit of hard graft, plenty of hedge clippings and hopefully no arguments over who had the bigger pile to clear up! 😂🍃

📸 Before and after photos below – always satisfying to see the difference!

At Hockham & Jones Garden Services, we take pride in keeping hedges looking their best, whether it’s a one-off tidy-up or part of regular garden maintenance.

🍂 Another busy day getting gardens ready for autumn! 🌿

Today we’ve been working at one of our regular customers’ properties, tackling a couple of jobs that are definitely more about function than looking pretty!

💧 First up – the drainage d**e at the front of the property, clearing out overgrown vegetation to help keep the water flowing freely as the wetter weather arrives.

🌱 Next – the natural drainage pond, carefully thinning out vegetation to improve water flow while maintaining its natural character and wildlife habitat.

Not the cleanest jobs we’ve ever tackled, but certainly satisfying ones! 💪

📸 Take a look at the before and after photos – quite a transformation!

At Hockham & Jones Garden Services, we do much more than mow lawns and trim hedges. From regular garden maintenance to seasonal clearances, overgrown areas and drainage d**es, we’re here to help keep your outdoor spaces looking their best and working as they should.

Another busy day for Hockham & Jones… until the weather had other ideas! 🌿🌧️

Jon and Ethan were back at a regular customer’s garden, continuing our restoration work. Today’s focus was clearing around the pond — take a look at the before and after photos to see the difference! 📸

Meanwhile, Rich and Dale spent the morning at another regular customer’s, clearing ditches and weeding beds before moving on to a hedge cut. ✂️

Rain stopped play at 1pm — we’re happy watering gardens, but less keen on being watered ourselves! 😂

A busy day looking after our regular customers 🌿

This morning we put in a new border, then headed to another customer to plant spring bulbs — planning next year’s colour while autumn is still busy throwing leaves everywhere! 🌷🍂😂

Ethan was getting stuck into both jobs, as you’ll see in the photos, before we rounded off the afternoon with a general garden tidy.

Meanwhile, Jon spent the day looking after another of our regular customers. Plenty of digging, planting and tidying across the team — autumn certainly knows how to keep us occupied! 😅

🍂 We knew autumn meant leaves… but this garden had been saving them up for several years! 😂

We spent this afternoon clearing accumulated leaves at a customer’s new property, helping them make a fresh start with their garden.

📸 These before and after photos show just part of the job. A satisfying transformation — and we’ve certainly earned our cuppa! ☕️

🎉🌿 Happy Birthday to our very own Jon! 🌿🎉

Today we’re wishing a very Happy Birthday to Hockham & Jones co-founder, chief hedge-tamer and all-round gardening legend, Jon! 🥳

He’ll be celebrating in the traditional H&J way… by going to work. 😂🌳✂️

Have a great day, Jon — hopefully there’s some cake involved somewhere along the route! 🎂

The longest hedge we have cut so far, but the STIHL HLA86 helped make light work of it! &Jones

A day on the hedges! 🌿✂️

Rich & Ethan spent today at one of our commercial customers, with the main job being a full cut and tidy of the frontage hedges.

It was our first proper outing with the new battery-powered long-reach hedge trimmer — Jon’s already beaten us to it! Combined with the Henchman ladder, it made a huge difference — quieter, more efficient and allowing us to work safely while getting a really crisp finish. 👌

We continue to invest in top-of-the-range professional equipment because the right tools help us deliver great results safely, efficiently and consistently.

And speaking of top-of-the-range equipment…

Here’s Ethan demonstrating one of the most technologically advanced tools in the Hockham & Jones fleet.

The rake. 😂

No batteries. No charger. No Bluetooth. Just Ethan providing the power. 💪🍂

Although, to be fair, he’s also proving to be a bit of a wiz with the hedge cutter — we just make sure he stays grounded with a rake every now and then. 😂✂️

Another cracking job from him today. 👏
