Autumn is a great time to get those little maintenance jobs sorted before the colder, wetter weather arrives.

From garden tidy-ups, hedge cutting and final lawn cuts, to gutter clearing, fencing repairs, pressure washing and those smaller jobs around the home

A little maintenance now can often prevent a much bigger job later.

Back at it after the holidays!

The holidays already seem like a distant memory but it’s been great getting stuck back into work and ticking off plenty of jobs since getting home.

A few of the jobs completed over the last week or so:

- Lawn cuts and regular garden maintenance
- Garden tidy-ups
- Guttering repairs
- Re-fixing a curtain pole into a concrete lintel
- Stripping down and repairing our multi-tool
- Re-plastering and making good a wall after a partition was removed

Plus plenty of other smaller repairs and maintenance jobs along the way.

It’s certainly been a busy return, but very glad to be back at it and working our way through the diary.

A big thank you, as always, to all our regular and new customers for keeping us busy and supporting our local business.

The irony 😂🌧️

After weeks and weeks of working through a drought, rock-hard ground, brown lawns and wondering if we’d ever see rain again…

We finally get away for our summer holiday to the Isle of Wight… and it’s absolutely tipping it down!

You really couldn’t make it up.

Apparently all we needed to do to end the drought was book a camping holiday. 🏕️🌧️

At least the grass back home will be happy! 😂

☀️ TIME FOR A FAMILY BREAK ☀️

We'll be taking a well-earned break with family for the next two weeks.

Any messages or new enquiries received during this time will be responded to as soon as possible, ready for our return at the end of August.

I’d also like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank everyone who has supported this business throughout the summer.

Between the extreme heat, the school holidays and childcare commitments, it’s certainly been a challenging period at times.

We are incredibly grateful to all the customers who have been so patient, understanding and flexible when appointments have needed to be rearranged.

Your continued support genuinely means a great deal to us.

For now, it’s time to put the tools down, recharge the batteries and enjoy some much-needed family time!

Thank you again, and we look forward to getting back to work and seeing you all upon our return.

WHEN THE GARDEN SWALLOWS AN ENTIRE PART OF YOUR HOME… IT’S TIME TO TAKE IT BACK!

This one was a proper transformation!

Completed over two separate visits, this area had gradually disappeared beneath years of overgrown shrubs, ivy and vegetation.

You could barely tell what was hiding underneath it all.

Fast-forward to the final visit and… there’s an entire wall under there!

We worked our way through the growth, cutting everything back, clearing the area and removing the waste until this forgotten part of the garden was finally reclaimed and opened up again.

There’s something incredibly satisfying about jobs like this.

Gardens have a habit of slowly taking over without you noticing… until one day you realise you’ve lost half of it!

✅ Heavy cutting back
✅ Ivy & overgrowth removed
✅ Hidden areas uncovered
✅ Garden space reclaimed
✅ Waste cleared and taken away
✅ Completed across two visits

Another cracking transformation and another area of garden given back to the customer.

Another happy regular customer!

Today was this customer's regular monthly grass cut, but while we were there, we also gave the front garden some extra attention.

A good tidy-up and trim has completely transformed the front of the property, leaving it looking neat, tidy, and welcoming again.

We also replaced their old washing line setup with a much more practical and secure solution, making it easier to use and much sturdier for years to come.

It's amazing what a few small improvements can do to keep a property looking its best.

Had a rare day off today thanks to childcare, so I spent the day out with my daughter.

We were sat in the van in a retail park when it suddenly started chucking it down.

I looked around expecting people to be making a dash for cover... but no!

People were smiling, strolling about, and generally looking delighted.

It made me think... only in Britain could we spend weeks moaning that it's too hot, then celebrate like we've won the lottery the moment it rains! 😂🌧️

Give it another 24 hours and we'll all be complaining that summer's over and asking where the sunshine's gone! 🇬🇧
