Well done to our team for delivering an innovative off-grid power solution. 🌏

With no mains electricity available to the remote storage unit, we installed two 500W solar panels connected to an Anker SOLIX F3800 portable power station and an additional battery 🌞🪫

The completed system now provides reliable power for lighting, heating and general electrical use—demonstrating how solar generation and battery storage can provide a practical, sustainable answer to challenging site conditions.

The project also follows James completing his City & Guilds Solar PV training, strengthening our in-house renewable-energy knowledge and supporting our ability to deliver future solar PV projects.

This week, we’re delighted to welcome four new Electrical Apprentices to our team.

The selection process was highly competitive, with many excellent candidates, so our successful applicants should be extremely proud of their achievement.

We would like to thank everyone who applied and took part in the process. If you were not successful on this occasion, we wish you every success in the future and encourage you to apply again when applications reopen in May 2027.

Well Done to Alex and the entire team at Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust working on the Lowton Ward refurbishment.

It was great to read the feedback from Joanne the Ward Leader! These are challenging short turn around projects to refurbish wards and get them back in use as quickly as possible.

Another successful NICEIC Annual Assessment achieved, well done to our Compliance team and Qualifying Supervisors. Is a nice alignment that in 2026 we are in our 80th Year and the NICEIC are in their 70th Year. Heres a throwback to our original application in 1964!

Max is a fourth-year apprentice in our Projects Team and has received consistently strong feedback from his supervisors. He has been particularly recognised for showing initiative, working independently, taking ownership and approaching every job with pride.
