A few minor remedial works completed for a local customer following an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR).

The issues identified were relatively small, but addressing defects such as damaged accessories, missing covers and other areas of poor condition helps ensure the installation remains safe and compliant.

One of the benefits of a thorough EICR is being able to identify these issues before they become a bigger problem, while also giving the homeowner or landlord a clear understanding of the condition of the electrical installation.

Swipe through the before and after photos to see some of the improvements.

If your property is due an EICR or you need help with remedial electrical work, get in touch with Clocktower Electrical Services.

⚡️ Why are regular EICRs important?

Some electrical problems are obvious. Others are hidden away behind a consumer unit, accessories or within the wiring itself — and may give no warning until something goes wrong.

These photos are from a recent Electrical Installation Condition Report where a number of issues were identified that wouldn’t necessarily have been apparent during everyday use.

An EICR is about more than simply getting a certificate. A proper inspection and test can identify defects, poor workmanship, deterioration and potentially dangerous conditions that may otherwise remain unknown.

For homeowners, regular electrical testing provides reassurance that your installation remains safe and fit for continued use. For landlords, it’s an important part of ensuring the electrical installation provided for tenants is safe and compliant.

If it’s been a while since your electrical installation was inspected, or you’re unsure of its condition, an EICR can give you a much clearer picture of what’s actually going on.
