ed to become an expert in his field. After completing a Forestry and Arboricultural course more than seven years ago, he started working as a tree surgeon for a local company. Two years on, he was recruited by one of the largest companies in Europe. He became one of their top climbers and was deployed to work on projects all over the UK. It was here that he continued to perfect his trade, before acting on his dream of creating a market-leading tree care service. A strong work ethic paired with a drive to succeed, meant that just two years later, Thor’s Trees now employs a team of seven highly skilled staff. The business continues to grow from strength to strength. Blending state-of-the-art modern techniques with traditional ones, each and every job is handled with the utmost precision and care. From the initial consultation through to completion and follow-up, the entire process is carried out seamlessly. Delivering outstanding customer service, the team are on-hand with expert advice throughout the project, as well as afterwards. 🚦Competence isn't claimed - It's trained, assessed and proven!!!

Over the last few weeks we've continued to invest in our people, with our operational teams completing NRSWA Signs, Lighting and Guarding training.
As a result, all of our operatives now hold a minimum of Unit 1 qualification.

Why does that matter?

Because when working on or alongside the highway, safe traffic management isn't optional. It requires trained, competent people who understand how to set up, manage and maintain safe working areas for both the workforce and the public...

These qualifications are particularly important for the work we carry out across:

🏗️ Construction sites
📚 Education settings
🚧 Highway environments

Our clients need confidence that the teams arriving on site are properly trained and qualified..

Winter pruning can help to manage the shape, size and health of your trees. Why winter? Because without the leaves on many trees you can better see where to prune, and it’s easier to spot damaged or diseased limbs and identify branches that have been weakened by storm winds. Also, when you prune you create an open wound, a doorway for diseases and insects to infiltrate the tree through, but in winter there are fewer of both around, making it safer for undertaking such work...
