I was lucky enough to be in Croatia the other week and I saw someone in a flat trying to charge their electric vehicle this way..not recommended!
It did make me think though, is it possible to own a flat and an EV? Personally I think it's possible, it just depends on the car and the mileage required per day. Some viable alternatives to the Croatian version includes recharging at work (if they have a charge point), or granny charger. Persuade the local council to install a charger for street charging; there's an OLEV grant which covers up to 75% of the costs leaving the council to only cover 25%. As car ranges continue to improve and EV adoption increases, I believe more flat owners will join the revolution. Let me know if you have any smart solutions or are indeed a flat owner and are managing to charge your car. I'd be interested to know how!
