Another major milestone at our Muswell Hill project.

Installing the steelwork for the extension base came with its challenges, but the team worked through them and everything is now in place.

With the steel sorted, we're ready to move on to the next stage and continue bringing this extension to life.

Behind the scenes with Alex from Birsay Creative.

Alex has been our go-to for digital marketing, branding and capturing our projects on site. These shots show two sides of the day—getting the footage and content we need for our social channels and website, while also taking the time to plan with James to make sure we capture everything needed.

A good shoot starts with a clear plan, and working closely together helps us get the most out of every day on site.

A look behind the scenes at life on site.

From moving materials and taking measurements to getting stuck in on the tools, every day brings something different.

It's the hard work, teamwork and attention to detail that keeps each project moving forward—and this is a small insight into what goes on day to day behind the scenes.

Keeping a project moving in London comes with its challenges...

Getting materials and deliveries onto site isn't always straightforward, but with careful planning and the right traffic management in place, the team are always on hand to keep things running as smoothly and efficiently as possible.

Another delivery safely in at our Muswell Hill project, ready for the next stage of the build.

It's all part of the behind-the-scenes planning that keeps a project moving forward.

A few shots from our latest visit to Muswell Hill.

James was on site catching up with the architect, clients and the team, discussing progress and making sure everyone is aligned as the project continues to move forward.

Good communication is key on a project of this scale, and regular time on site helps us keep everything running smoothly from one stage to the next.

The extension you can see in the photo is progressing really well, with the main structure now in place — and we’re delighted to have just been asked to build an extension for the property directly next door too.

The new extension will be slightly bigger, and it’s not often you get the opportunity to have two neighbouring extensions running side by side at the same time.

From a logistical point of view, it works brilliantly — trades, materials, deliveries and site management can all be coordinated efficiently across both projects. And for us, there’s something particularly satisfying about seeing two homes being transformed alongside each other.

It’s also a great compliment to the team when the work we’re doing on one project leads directly to another job next door. 👏

Soon this view is going to look very different!

We’ll be sharing the progress of both extensions as they develop. Watch this space… 👀🔨

Keeping a project running smoothly takes more than just the work happening on site.

At Muswell Hill, James has been meeting with the clients and architect to discuss progress, coordinate the next stages and solve any issues as they arise—ensuring the best possible outcome for everyone involved.

Open and regular communication is a huge part of how we work at Construct Group. By staying closely involved with our clients, architects and contractors throughout the project, we can make decisions quickly, keep things moving and ensure everyone is working towards the same goal.

It's all part of delivering a smooth process from start to finish.

Progress at Muswell Hill.

From April through to August, we've seen huge changes across the property, particularly in the basement. With the space stripped back and major structural changes underway, we're now building the foundations for the next stage of this exciting extension.

There's still plenty to come, but it's great to look back and see just how far the project has progressed already.

We'll keep sharing the journey as the transformation continues.

From visual to reality.

This video shows the journey from the original design renders to the completed bedroom, bringing the vision to life exactly as planned.

It's a great example of how careful planning, quality craftsmanship and attention to detail can transform an idea into a beautifully finished space.

Thinking about your own home transformation? We'd love to help bring your vision to life.
