Luis Bustamante Interiors designed a striking project in Mexico City featuring artwork by Antoni Tapies and iconic furnishings by Pierre Jeanneret and Le Corbusier.

The Advocate chairs (aka Advocate & Press, LC/PJ-SI-41-A) , originally created for the High Court in Chandigarh, India. They were meticulously designed to reflect the court’s authority and hierarchy through specific features, such as judge armchairs possessing significantly taller backrests than those made for advocates. Crafted from teak, these historic chairs merge rational geometry, functionalism, and local Indian craftsmanship with modernism, they are often upholstered today in luxurious materials such as hide skin, velvet, or calf leather.

The rich history behind these designs stems from the collaboration between Swiss-born architect Pierre Jeanneret and his cousin, Le Corbusier. In the early 1950s, the duo embarked on an ambitious urban planning project in Chandigarh to design low-cost buildings for the community, ultimately transforming the city into a celebrated landmark of modern architecture. Le Corbusier, a multifaceted visionary active mostly in France, shaped the landscape of modern design alongside Jeanneret, whose legacy lives on through these enduring furniture pieces.

What’s better than beige? GREIGE!

Redefining the notion of custom design. Founded in 2020 by CEO and principal designer Noa Santos, NAINOA’s philosophy is rooted in place, responsive to context and imbued with the emotions, desires, and lifestyles of clients.

St. Mary’s Lane is a contemporary family residence designed for year-round living in Amagansett, New York. Conceived for a young family building their forever home, the project responds to lessons learned from their previous residence while embracing the character of the Hamptons. The approximately 14,000-square-foot home is organized as a series of interconnected pavilions, creating a sequence of indoor and outdoor spaces that encourage movement, gathering, and connection to the landscape. A long, narrow primary volume maximizes daylight, ensuring warm, light-filled interiors throughout every season.

Natural materials—including limestone, travertine, pale white oak, and plaster—create a restrained palette that allows expansive views of the surrounding landscape to remain the focal point. Below grade, wellness and recreation spaces complement outdoor amenities including a swimming pool, tennis court, basketball pavilion, gardens, and dedicated family activity spaces. Together, these elements create a home designed not simply for living, but for cultivating memories across generations.

Never say never. Wood-panelled walls don’t sit well with us normally, but in this case, it just works.

This 489 m2 two-story apartment, designed by Studio APAA with custom millwork by Derevo, presents a refined architectural dialogue between warm minimalism, exquisite carpentry, and curated art. Spanning two expansive levels, the open-plan kitchen and living space relies on clean geometry, seamless wall paneling, and an understated, warm neutral palette to establish an air of quiet luxury.

A dedicated lounge and reading nook features wall-to-wall built-in shelving stocked with curated design monographs and artisanal ceramics. A woven PK24 - Wicker reclining lounge chair by Fritz Hansen paired with Lumina’s ‘Daphine’ lamp by Tommaso Cimini offers a secluded corner within the open space. A portrait by Léon Zack curated by Alina Pinsky Gallery reinforcing the apartment’s serene, gallery-like ambiance.

Central to the living area is a seating layout anchored by a multi-tonal textured rug and a deep plush white sofa, featuring a dark statement coffee table and Pierre Chapo’s Sahara S10 cognac leather armchairs. The kitchen integrates seamlessly into the surrounding architecture, full-height oak paneling that conceals custom cabinetry, integrated appliances and climate-controlled w**e displays. A grey marble island serves as a gathering spot, accompanied by a row of tan leather barstools.

This Cracow apartment designed by noplusp Mateusz Niepokój presents a masterclass in warm brutalism, pairing rich tactile finishes with ultra-clean architectural lines. Throughout the light-flooded open interior, panelled wooden floors create a grounded foundation that contrasts beautifully against textured plaster ceilings, lime-wash plaster walls, and raw concrete columns. A sleek stainless steel island anchors the kitchen with crisp industrial precision, complemented by a dark charred wood dining table and Pierre Jeanneret chairs.

In the living area, floor-to-ceiling sheer drapes filter soft daylight across plush low-profile seating and organic botanical elements, sanctuary-like atmosphere where brutalist structure meets refined residential comfort.

The client’s brief was clear: — raw aesthetics. Although the space has an innate brutalist edge, the consistent selection of materials and objects sourced from 101 Copenhagen, , Italmeble | Meble włoskie | Sofy marki Olta, IWC HOME | Sofas • Beds • Tables • Lamps • Carpets • Decor, Eye on Design &Tradition and Audo Copenhagen - softens the outcome. Soulful, curated, severely sombre - yet not at all bleak, the resulting atmosphere is both natural and deeply welcoming.

Today, our eyes travelled all the way to the Black Sea. Located on the Romanian coastline with stunning corner views of the seaside. Raised above the ground floor, the main space features a 4,5m ceiling with an open space kitchen, living, and dining.

Based in Romania, husband & wife team Arh. Alin T. Stoica & Diana Stoica founded architectural firm STOA. By focusing this project on creating a domestic, cozy atmosphere without fragmenting the open plan while also directing the eyes towards the light and waterscape. Dark wooden elements like the ceiling, paneling, and built-in furniture add depth and contrast against the large glazing, which brings in an abundance of natural light. These wooden features create a warm and intimate atmosphere, adding a domestic scale to an otherwise barren room. At the same time, off-white clay plaster brings in harmony, softness and retains the cohesiveness of the whole space.

In keeping with the original character of the modernist house, the custom elements carry on the same architectural principles, yet vintage furniture pieces were carefully curated to add visual interest in the lower part of the room, grounding the viewer and establishing a sense of place. These sculptural pieces designed by Kristian Vedel, Mario Bellini, Alvar Alto, Isamu Noguchi establish an intimate boundary for the living area, creating a strong sense of belonging, of permanence that brings the whole project together.

Twenty miles outside of Manhattan, this 6,000-square-foot family home feels air-lifted from the South of France into historic Bronxville, New York. Known locally as La Capucine manor, the estate’s architectural bones — golden limestone, weathered oak, antique fireplaces — were preserved and reclaimed by original designer Cheryl Skoog Tague from a defunct 18th-century convent in France’s Dordogne-Périgord region.

Inside, tropicality meets history through custom pieces: a bespoke palm-frond rug with Doris Leslie Blau, a seafoam ceramic agave chandelier by Etienne Marc, a cast-iron Cala planter from Bradley L. Bowers, terracotta kitchen tile, a mahogany-paneled office fireplace, chicken-and-rooster iconography (Cuban symbols of luck) on vintage china and Amy Bravo artwork, and a one-of-a-kind Domino Table with Rooms Studio, modeled after communal play tables in Latin American parks.

As a design studio, Husband Wife is grounded in the founders’ architectural background. “We look at things spatially, so we start with volumes,” says Justin Capuco. “We want to know how a client uses the space and what their life story is,” says Brittney Hart. “This has a lot of architectural implications – and then we get on to decoration.” Their work is diverse, but there are some parallels: they often employ rich, refined materials to craft spaces that respond to context and site. Coincidentally, many of their projects have curious pasts, such as a former artists’ refuge turned boarding house, then convent. “Another convent!” Justin laughs. “We’ve been lucky – we’d rather inherit a project with a weird or convoluted history than no history at all.” Brittney agrees: “We like old things and a point of view.”

TV personality-turned-entrepreneur, Bianca Ingrosso is one of Scandinavia’s leading voices in beauty and lifestyle, so it was only fitting that her apartment reflected her clean, elegant aesthetic.

The apartment sits within a 19th-century building in the affluent inner-city district of Östermalm, its charming mouldings and historic architectural details carefully preserved. Ingrosso entrusted the renovation of her home to Stockholm-based design firm AO/JN Interiors. Without a strict brief or aesthetic in mind, they were more interested in determining how the home should feel. “Every architectural decision, material choice and bespoke element was guided by that ambition, creating an environment designed to evolve naturally through different stages of life while remaining deeply connected to the building’s original character,” explains AO/JN Interiors’ founders, Alexandra Ogonowski and Jesper Nyborg.
