Visited the Orangery Restaurant on New Oxford Street which has its own in-house rooftop urban farm and a hydroponic farm in the basement that supplies the restaurant & staff. It’s part of The College Building, which is a flagship for wellbeing and sustainable urban living supported by technology.

If this is possible for a flagship commercial building, why can't the same principles of technology, spatial innovation, and a focus on wellbeing be applied to solve real challenges in social housing?

What an inspiring, thought-provoking & stimulating 2 days at the
&

We heard from politicians & economists to designers in all fields about the issues around our climate emergency and the power & responsibility that we hold as designers, big or small, to transform the way we live, the products and buildings that we design and the natural and build environments that we extract from and live in.

But the best of all was to meet amazing people who share the same concerns and are as convinced as I am that we must take action and put our planet in the center of our work!!!

It’s been a reassurance that at we are going in the right direction!!!! 💪🏼

We are excited to reveal Dubai, The “Woven City”, our design proposal developed for an international ideas competition, applying the regenerative principles explored in the Living Future Europe Masterclass.

An urban vision for Dubai’s public spaces, where CULTURE, CLIMATE, and HERITAGE were the main drivers.

Through modular urban elements, local and construction waste materials, biophilic elements, water-sensitive strategies, and the reinterpretation of local crafts like Al Sadu weaving, seven districts of the city become a living ecosystem, from shaded courtyards to ecological corridors, each of them with its own identity.

The proposal has become a milestone case study of how we approach complex design challenges at CLB Studio, with REGENERATION and NATURE at the center.
