A walk through the project.
Spaces open and close through a sequence of thresholds — where glazed steel doors, continuous joinery and shifting light define how the house is experienced over time.
Rather than a series of rooms, the house reads as a connected interior landscape, where movement, views artwork and material continuity shape the experience from one space to the next.

A closer look at the design process.
From sketch to built space, the project developed through a continuous dialogue between architecture and interior architecture, not as separate layers, but as one integrated system.
Joinery, boiserie for hanging artwork and structure were conceived together, with glazed steel (Crittall-style) doors defining thresholds, framing views and artwork and allowing spaces to open or close while maintaining continuity of light.
The same logic extends outward, where material and detail carry through to the exterior.
What emerges is not a sequence of rooms, but a coherent architectural language developed across scales , from drawing to detail to space.

Sixteen years after our first refurbishment of this Grade II listed Georgian house in Holland Park, we were invited back to rethink it once again, this time as a contemporary family home shaped around an evolving art collection.
Our approach was deliberately restrained: a calm architectural framework defined through the use of timber. From the iroko wall panelling and bespoke joinery to the woven external cladding, wood becomes a continuous thread across the house, bringing warmth, rhythm and a sense of cohesion between spaces.
Rather than applied decoration, these elements are integral to the architecture, integrating storage, structure and services into a unified system that supports both daily life and the display of art.
A project about continuity of the building and its evolving spatial and material language.

From dust and steel to light and proportion.
Today on site in South Kensington, where the structural phase of this high-end refurbishment is taking shape.
New steel has been installed to open up the structure and remove the internal walls that once divided the space.
What used to be a series of enclosed rooms is now becoming one continuous sequence of spaces, designed around light, flow and proportion.
