Desmoflex is a fully reinforced liquid waterproofing system designed to provide a durable, seamless and long-lasting solution for flat roofs. 💧

For this project, we cleaned, primed and overlaid the existing flat roof using a fully reinforced Desmoflex system, creating a tough, watertight finish designed to protect the roof for years to come.

After completing the roof refurbishment and waterproofing, we presented our customer with a range of options for finishing their terrace. They chose a composite roof deck and just look at the end result!

Our process includes:
✅ Removing and relocating terrace furniture to work in phases
✅ Lifting and disposing of the existing tiled surface
✅ Inspecting the sub-deck before installing a fully reinforced Desmoflex liquid waterproofing system with a 20-year guarantee against water ingress
✅ Applying the protective top coat and allowing it to fully cure
✅ Constructing a new timber subframe, carefully working around (or beneath) the existing balustrade where possible
✅ Installing high-quality composite decking section by section
✅ Moving stored items onto the completed area before repeating the process on the remaining half of the terrace
✅ Leaving the site tidy, with all waste safely stored for collection

Slate Styles 🩶

What works were undertaken?:

1. Installation of lead flashings under the zinc flashings clipped to the slates to avoid rain blowing under the flashing.

2. Bay roof stripped at the front and replaced with new felt, batten, natural slates and lead work.
