On site in New Malden extending and refurbishing a really interesting 1960s home. Originally designed by the Architects’ Co-Partnership who were a group of AA graduates with a modernist vision, the home is one of 14 houses set in a u shape around a shared garden with community living at it’s heart. The upside down houses have a first floor living room and roof terrace with the bedrooms and kitchen and dining areas grouped around a private courtyard.

At the start of the project, it is always good to test out different options in sketch and model. It’s a great time to test different ideas relatively quickly and show you how different spaces, configurations and materials could look.

This compact 1960s home makes a fantastic place to live. There are 14 houses set around a shared green space and entrance, each with courtyard gardens and first floor living room and roof terrace.
We are extending to add an extra bathroom and art studio, along with a bigger kitchen, insulating roofs and adding solar panels.
Can’t wait to see it completed!

Some more images of the project I shared a few days ago of a bungalow extension and refurbishment in Surrey where we are doubling the floor area by adding an additional story, extending out the back and side and cladding over the existing brickwork with insulation, large and sink cladding.
