My latest Emett inspired model... a little rustic nonsense. All scratch built, mainly in plastics - a part from the chair, which is an old left over kit. I'll need to add some lighting, so that you can see the interior. It's been around ten years since I made the first Emett models, they are great fun to create.

This week I've been preparing for the launch of the Christmas Menu at the Fat Duck, Bray. Creating new lights and tidying up the Table Centrepieces that I made a couple of years ago.

Out for delivery tomorrow morning. A selection of new and repaired Table Centre Pieces for The Fat Duck. After 6 months in the restaurant, the models come back for a major overhaul. They are usually well worn and a bit bent! But a bit of work and they are ready to go again.

Happy Winter Solstice! At the start of the week I delivered the new winter woodland table centre pieces to the Fat Duck in Bray. I was particularly pleased with these, as it isn't easy to create convincing winter trees. See if you can spot the tiny squirrel.

Practice is always important. Whether you're a musician, artist or sportsperson etc, you need to practice techniques regularly. I've been working on few dioramas recently, to try out different landscaping and building methods. Here's one that is nearly complete, inspired by Bunhill Fields in East London. It will eventually be populated with Victorian figures and vehicles.
