It is very special to see the OPPO Headquarters project continuing to rise in Shenzhen.

I worked on this project at Zaha Hadid Architects in 2019, so seeing its journey from design development to its growing built presence is incredibly rewarding.

The project carries a strong architectural identity, shaped by ideas of connectivity, innovation, and openness. It is exciting to see those ambitions realised at this scale, and to witness the work becoming part of the city, where its impact becomes truly tangible.

Congratulations to .patrik , Christos Passas , Satoshi Ohashi, Martin Pfleger, Pelayo BUSTILLO MACIAS, Alicia Hidalgo, .chakouf Hussam Chakouf, Melhem Sfeir and the whole team at Zaha Hadid Architects on this remarkable project.

Visiting the Taikang Headquarters building site in Wuhan was a very special moment for me.

I worked on this project at Zaha Hadid Architects between 2017 and 2019, so seeing the towers rise to 270 metres is absolutely stunning. Standing in the atrium was even more extraordinary in real life than when we first experienced it through the model. No 3D model can truly replicate the scale, atmosphere, and spatial intensity of the built reality.

I am so glad to have seen the project on site, and deeply honoured to have been part of it. It is incredibly rewarding to witness the design taking shape at this scale and with such presence.

Congratulations to .patrik , Satoshi Ohashi, Stephane Vallotton, .andia, Martin Pfleger, Xiaoyu Zhang and everyone at involved in bringing this remarkable project to life.

Nine years ago I began The 8th Continent®, an Ocean Cleaning and Research Station conceived in response to the escalating crisis of marine pollution. The project has always sat at the intersection of action and understanding because removing debris matters, but preventing recurrence requires research, education, and systemic change.

At its core, this work asks what if architecture could behave less like an object and more like an organism, adaptive, efficient, and materially responsible? This series is a short recap of the ideas, simulations, and design logic that shaped the project.

Grateful to and Linda Cebrova for a thoughtful and well structured interview. I appreciate the emphasis on delivering concrete solutions and work of a standard that genuinely moves the conversation forward, from international practice at Zaha Hadid Architects to the wider question of how architecture can respond to the climate crisis.

Lately, I am asked more and more how women “manage” construction and design environments. I sometimes wish we also asked, just as openly, what can change on the other side of the table: why interruptions happen, why some voices are heard more readily than others, and why good ideas can be overlooked until they are repeated for many times. Too often, the conversation focuses on women’s resilience rather than on creating working cultures where respect and listening are simply the baseline for anyone. For the 21st century, it is worth reflecting on, don’t you think?

Very excited to see the progress on site at the Le Schuylkill renovation project in Monaco. It was great to review the interior materials and product selections together with the client, contractor, and our local partners.

Moments like these, when design intent begins to materialise, are a powerful reminder of the collaborative effort behind every successful project. Looking forward to the next stages.
