Traditional sash windows. Modern performance.
Our ‘Sash Upgrade’ service is something not all our competitors offer, a process of improving existing sash windows by upgrading parts such as the glazing, draught proofing, cords, and hardware—without fully replacing the original window frame.
In this particular sash, the customer wanted ‘Vacuum glazing’ which is ideal for period homes because the units are incredibly slim, allowing them to fit neatly into traditional timber sashes without any bulky appearance.
As well as improved thermal performance, noise reduction and significantly reduces condensation.
For homeowners who want to preserve the look of their property without compromising comfort, it’s one of the most effective upgrades available.
🎥 Watch and see the fitted vaccum glazing in all its glory...Many people ask about the tiny dots on the glass?
The tiny dots you see in vacuum glazing are called micro spacers, because the air is removed from between the two panes, the vacuum creates pressure that would otherwise pull the glass together. These tiny, almost invisible dots are placed between the panes to keep the glass separated and maintain the vacuum gap.
The short answer is yes...but its important to remember you look ‘through’ the glass, not at it.
