A modern approach 🖤

Here are a few interior shots from our Cheam project.

Looking back at these photos reminds me how much thought went into every detail. From the proportions and natural light to the material palette and how each room connects with the next, the aim was to create a home that feels contemporary without trying too hard.

I particularly love the combination of the vaulted ceilings, rooflights and steel glazed screens. They bring in so much light while subtly defining each space, giving the house a real sense of openness and flow.

The dark kitchen, warm timber flooring and carefully chosen finishes create a balance between elegance and comfort, proving that modern design can still feel warm, lived in and welcoming.

It’s always rewarding to see a project evolve from the first sketch into a family home that’s enjoyed every day.

Thoughtful design can completely transform how a room feels without adding a single square metre.

Bespoke storage, integrated joinery and a carefully considered layout create bedrooms that feel lighter, calmer and more functional every day.

Not every home needs an extension.

Sometimes, the answer isn’t more space, it’s using the existing space better.

For this Epsom project, we transformed a fragmented layout and narrow galley kitchen into a generous open plan home without adding a single square metre. Through thoughtful reconfiguration, strategic structural changes, and careful interior design, the home now works around the people living in it.

At ARCA, we don’t believe in one size fits all. We design around your lifestyle, your priorities, your budget, and the details that make a house feel like home.

If your space no longer fits the way you live, we’d love to help you rethink it.
