‘With Limitations’ at The Aram Gallery is an exploration of the constraints and resourcefulness shaping contemporary design practice, presented as an apartment furnished entirely by emerging designers from across the UK. Each object responds to a different limitation, whether space, budget, time, or access to materials and equipment, offering an honest insight into the conditions that shape the work of independent practitioners.

Supporting emerging talent lies at the heart of it. The exhibition is free to participate in, removing the financial barriers that keep so many early-career designers out of the room

Still to come:

🔨 Live making in the gallery all week, 10am–5pm
🎤 Martino Gamper, 24 Sept · Kim Colin, 30 Sept · Ella Doran, 10 Oct, each joined by a participating designer to talk about their journey as an emerging designer

On until 10 October - talks need registering, find more on the Exhibits app!

Welcome to an Exhibits x Dipsy field trip to the V&A East museum for the music is black exhibition, celebrating the evolution and depth of Black British music and the effects it has on the global music scene. This trip is also coupled with a visit to the Q***r Frequencies festival produced by Eastbank, celebrating Black Q***r communities and music across London. It’s set to be one for the books!

There will be two slots, one at 1:30 and the other at 2:00, we will let you know which group you’re in before the event. This event is for POC only.

Some more about the wonderful collaborators:

DIPSY are a passionate community of open-minded movers & shakers who value building a deeper connection with music. They prioritise self-expression above all, encouraging their performers to share their deep cuts without worrying about expectations. DIPSY consistently platforms and supports Black DJs, Producers and Artists who explore the full spectrum of electronic music and sounds of the diaspora.

Exhibits is an exhibitions platform that lists London-based exhibitions, museums and galleries on their free app, and run monthly community trip that encourages POC and young Londoners to visit and engage with cultural and heritage spaces.

We hope to see both old and new faces on this trip, and discuss & discover music that moves us! Welcome welcome!!
