We’re delighted to share that West London House has been shortlisted for the Manser Medal – AJ House of the Year at the AJ Architecture Awards 2026.

It is a huge honour to see the project recognised alongside some of the best new homes in the UK.

West London House was made possible by a close collaboration with our clients, consultant team and contractor, and we’re incredibly grateful to everyone involved in bringing it to life.

We’re very pleased to welcome Ed Oldridge to Goldstein Heather as a Part II Architectural Assistant.

Ed brings a thoughtful approach to design, with particular interests in contextual architecture, visual communication, craft, landscape and place.

His work and interests sit closely with the way we think about buildings and their settings, and it’s been lovely to have him settle into the studio.

Welcome Ed.

A warm welcome to Will Hall, who has joined Goldstein Heather as an Architect.

Will brings experience across residential, education and community-focused projects, with a strong understanding of how design develops from early ideas through to technical coordination and delivery on site.

He has already become a great part of the studio, and we’re very pleased to have him with us.

Welcome Will.

The Old Rectory, Buckinghamshire.

A carefully considered extension and refurbishment to a Grade II listed Georgian house set within a rural landscape.

Our approach combined the repair and restoration of the historic building with the addition of a contemporary timber, brick and slate extension. Designed as a quiet counterpart to the original house, the new addition creates a generous kitchen and dining space with a strong connection to the garden.

Last week we stepped out of the studio for a short architectural walking tour through the City and Spitalfields.

Starting at Liverpool Street, we looked at the changing Broadgate and Bishopsgate context, before heading through Exchange Square, Norton Folgate and Blossom Yard, and into the historic streets of Spitalfields. The walk finished at Fournier Street and Christ Church Spitalfields, before a well-earned drink nearby.

A good reminder of how much there is to learn from a short walk through London, from large-scale commercial redevelopment and public realm to Georgian streets, restored fabric.
