Outdoor cooking and social areas are enriched with layers of greenery. Yew hedges accentuate old walls, while topiary stand guard at gateways. Pleached and multi-stemmed trees provide canopies of soft light, creating a welcoming atmosphere.

A weekend walk in the woods was made so much richer for slowing down to look out for fungi on the woodland floor. We spotted around 20 different types, all so intricate and architectural and a colour palette so harmonious and beautiful with the autumn leaves; how amazing nature is.

The book Entangled Life by .sheldrake is a must read for anyone fascinated by fungal life.
