Tradespeople are significantly more likely to experience vehicle crime, with tools often viewed by criminals as high-reward, low-risk targets. That’s why the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Thames Valley, Matthew Barber is supporting a series of tool marking events across the Thames Valley.

Since March, more than 500 SelectaDNA tool and equipment kits have already been distributed to tradespeople across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Milton Keynes.

The initiative forms part of the wider Vehicle Crime Strategy launched in partnership with Thames Valley Police, focused on prevention, enforcement and protecting communities from crime.
