Join us for a friendly afternoon in our orchard enjoying the blossom and hunting for Easter eggs! We’ll then wander off into our Kith, the land we live and play on, and have a foray on Putney Heath! Family and friends all welcome! Feel free to bring extra eggs to hide! 🐣 Our orchard is at the corner of Carslake Road and Tildesley Road. Nearest post code is sw15 3BZ.

Festive times are here! Putney Community Gardens is happy to invite you to two special events in November.

PCG Lantern Festival on November 15th, 2 pm-7 pm: A day of crafting lanterns, telling stories and singing during a lantern walk (craft supplies provided except for jars). Please bring your own jars to decorate.

PCG Winter Market and Movie Night on November 29, 3 pm-8 pm: Market stalls with affordable handmade goods from locals and people from our community, Hot Food and Movie night from 6 pm.

Join us this Saturday from 2-4pm at the orchard (corner of Carslake road and Hayward gardens) to meet and greet Jerry and Berry! Our chicks which are growing to chickens! There’ll be a chance to feed them, to draw them, to learn about the new chicken care team we’re forming and what that entails and to make a collaborative art work to petition the council to let us have chickens locally! There will also be a chocolate egg hunt! Feel free to bring extra chocolates to hide!

Putney Community Gardens is right at the edge of a magical woodland! Putney Heath and Wimbledon Common! With mighty trees and frogful ponds and freshwater springs and birds of prey and rabbits!
This Friday the 11th, join us for a foray into the woods, following our noses, playing, and freeing our spirits!
If you’re unfamiliar with the woods, we’ll go slow and learn to be there!
Meet at 11am at the Orchard (corner of Tildesley road and Carslake Road). Bring a packed lunch. Some snacks will be provided. We’ll be back at about 3pm. All welcome.

Last week we planted 18 fruit trees around Hayward Gardens with a fantastic group of young people who are part of a gardening club at ! Thanks for the support from and help from neighbours identifying sites to plant on patches of green land on the Ashburton estate. Join us this Sunday the 30th of March to do a tour of the baby trees, say hello and welcome to them, and learn where they are so that we can together care for them when they are young! We’ll finish off with a picnic under the Magnolia trees which will be in full glorious bloom! 🌸

Join us on Saturday the 8th of March from 11am to 3pm at Boyd court (sw15 3dd) where you can sell buy, swap and gift no longer wanted items! Please contact Marjorie by March the 5th to reserve a table. There will also be a seed swap and opportunity to sew seeds to keep on windowsills ready to plant out in spring. Join us for the next four Sundays in December as we gather in the gardens and local areas to celebrate autumn, welcome the colder months, and help prepare the land and tend to our plants.
Kenkena is also back on the 15th and if you want to offer anything please get in touch. So far ideas floating are -a pot luck dinner, craft table, board games, jumble sale and giveaway stalls, info stalls for forthcoming community garden projects and local Residents’ Associations, and our regular collage station! The forest garden is located at the corner of Carslake road and Hayward gardens; the orchard is at the corner of Carslake road snd Tildesley road, and Boyd court is at SW15 3BZ.

We invite you to bring 2 sticks one to represent what you want to let go of and one to represent what you want to call in to your life.

Bring marshmallows to share and a portable chair to sit on if you have one! Bring your songs and your friends!
