A simple trick to make sure you don't miss anything when pricing a job.

30/09/2026

We've all heard the classics from our customer:
It should be a simple job...
We're flexible on budget.
Can we have a rough figure now?
The last guy quoted us less...
Can you pop round and have a look?

I'm sure you've all heard at least one of these. What's another classic 1-liner that you hear all the time that needs translating?

Our process is designed to take an entire job off of your plate. If you find there's not enough hours in the day to get everything done, or you're working late just to get those admin tasks or more specifically the pricing, quoting, estimating part of the day done, then maybe it's time to consider outsourcing. 👋🏻

The debate goes on. Both have their place, what's your preference?

How 'bout no

Anything you say out loud WILL be used against you, intentionally or otherwise. And if it's far from the final price you might be creating problems that could have been avoided.

23/09/2026

Are you overlooking REAL COSTS on your projects? Things cost what they cost and you shouldn't be changing the price just bcause it 'feels' like a lot.

New Government-backed scheme is rolling out now. Customer money gets held and released at each project milestone, and traders can sign up to an Approved Code to prove they're the real deal. Fully live by December!

Would you sign up, or is this just more hoops for the good guys?

We can't work miricles but we can help get your pricing right so when you do win the work you'll actually make a profit!

You might hate the numbers but that's what makes or breaks a business. Learn to love them or outsource to someone who does!
