Anyone been to Iceland and been amazed by the sky’s?? The joy of 4 hour days is the and everyday and the light was so fresh and clear it was just breathtaking. I just love a good . Was very sorry not see the northern lights, we tried.

Lighting art creates pleasure from revealing a masterpiece or something treasured, and can just make a room. We’ve lit all sorts from masterpieces to Mickey Mouse (making sure his nose didn’t look to big). For this small Dutch painting we used a recessed adjustable down light 350mm from the wall, 2700k, 90CRI. Remember to check all your angles, or just get in touch and we can do it all for you.

Feel light in a basement, great on these winter grey days - it’s a light box behind a sheer curtain mixing 2 colour white LED’s, with a theatre style profile spot c/w a gobo to provide contrast. Uplighting boosts the feeling of daylight streaming in to the space by day (useful on these grey days) and adds some contrast and drama in the evenings. Can be a quick fix Just by adding some surface uplights (available from and many others) . Sams busy setting these ones up.

It’s better than a expensive foundation, and often cheaper. Lighting with good colour rendering in a nice white is flattering so always use high CRI and look good at home (and layer your lighting etc) This photo is taken by the talented Alex Oneal so I admit I have him and the lighting helping the photo. Taken in the Grove lounges just before Christmas. If you need to improve your lighting just get in touch - it’s so important and easy to get right.

How are the January workouts going? I’m always amused by all the advice in the papers on jan 2nd. I’d be more motivated with a nice space with flattering light like this recent design which escapes winters grey sky’s. Remember the importance of 90+ CRI, colour temperature and the for floor work etc.

Remember to dim those lights in the evening, and turn those screens off to wind down for bed. I’m managing to read more than a few pages in bed now (I use to fall a sleep after a page in the old hectic days), and I’m sleeping really well for it. Just finished Ferdinand Mounts’ kiss myself goodbye - was a enjoyable xmas present. This beautiful bedroom in at the new Mayfairtownhouse.

Remote lighting design results at the They supplied plans and photos of the amazing position, and we advised on the lighting positions, plans and fixture types for the shop, tasting room and distillery all on a careful budget and re purposing their existing decorative lighting as much as possible. And all remotely via and . Love the new and its (so please get in touch where ever you are!!). The lighting is designed to show off the beautiful stills, provide enjoyment in the bar and display the merchandise in the shop. We’re delighted it’s a success and open! And thank-you for the photos! Really pleased to be in the press again 😀 with ‘Let the Light in’ Gym Membership’s, organic food and cycling to work are all obvious tools to improve our health and well-being. A less well known but equally beneficial contributor is light. You’ve seen it at the gym where you work out and at the restaurant where you eat. The lighting is designed with purpose to compliment the activity, to make you feel good, to relax or motivate you. That’s a taster.....it’s about the importance and of light.
