The batteries are now in place at our Common Farm BESS project. 🔋

With the units positioned and ready to be connected, we’re now getting the surrounding areas finished off.

The membrane and Terax system are in place, along with the timber edging, creating a contained area around the batteries in the event of any leakage.

A good look at where the project is up to and some of the work that goes on around the battery installation itself.

Solar is becoming a bigger part of what we’re doing at SB4. ☀️

For us, it’s not just about putting panels on a roof or in a field. We look at the site, what the client is trying to achieve and whether the system actually makes commercial sense before anything goes ahead.

We’ve worked on commercial roof-mounted systems as well as larger solar farm projects, and it’s an area we’re continuing to grow within SB4.

Work progressing at our Common Farm BESS project. 🔋

The battery units are being lifted and carefully manoeuvred into position on the prepared platform. 🏗️

With equipment of this scale, each lift needs to be carefully coordinated between the crane team and those working at ground level to ensure the units are positioned safely and accurately.

We’ll be sharing more footage as work on site progresses. 🙌

A little look back at a few photos from our project, The Goat Restaurant in Llandudno. 👏

SB4 Construction was appointed to deliver the full conversion and fit out, completely reworking what had previously been a breakfast reception area and small bar to create the restaurant you see today.

There was plenty happening behind the finished result, including significant structural alterations, temporary works to support the four storeys above, and the installation of a new commercial kitchen.

We worked alongside BR Architecture and Design House Wales throughout the project, bringing together the construction, architectural and interior elements of the scheme.

Some latest photos from our Deva project in Aberystwyth. 🏗️

Work is continuing to move forward on site as we progress with the refurbishment of this Grade II listed building.

As work continues on this seven-storey development in Plascrug, we wanted to give you a closer look at some of what’s happening across the site. 🏗️

From the acoustic and fire protection installation to the hoist system being used to move materials throughout the building, there’s plenty going on behind the scenes to keep the project moving forward.

We’re also working around existing infrastructure on site, adding another layer of planning and coordination to the build.

We’ll be sharing further updates as the development progresses.

A look at our Grown From A Seed project 🌱

SB4 Construction was brought into the project during the planning stages to lead the technical design and value engineering of a new development of seven high-specification industrial units.

Working closely with the wider project team, we helped refine the design with buildability, cost and long-term value in mind, while maintaining the quality of the original vision.

The finished units have also been designed with sustainability in mind, including high levels of insulation and airtightness, EV charging infrastructure and on-site solar generation.

A great example of how getting the right construction expertise involved early can make a real difference to the finished development.
