Hi Everyone,

I have just completed a 9 day professional tiling course with .

On this 9 day course, I have learnt a variety of different aspects to tiling such as:

- Surface Preparation and the use of Rapid Set Adhesives.
- The Importance of Jacko Board / Cement Board / Aqua Board.
- Tanking - Wet Rooms and Bathrooms
- UFH (Under Floor Heating).
- The Importance of Setting Out Walls and Floors correctly.
- The Use of Different Tiles; Ceramic, Porcelain, Marble, Travertine, Limestone, Slate, Terrazzo, Quarry and how we cut them.
- Tiling Windows and Niches.
- Straight / Mitre Cut Trimming.
- Mitre Tile Cuts Instead of Trim.
- Kitchen Splash Backs.
- Floor Screeding.
- Different patterns of tiling; Brick Bond, Diamond, Square and Herringbone.
- Old Tile Removal.
- How To Work To Specifications.
- Tiling Around Objects; Plug Sockets, Toilets, Pipes, etc.

I may be new to tiling but I believe I have the foundations from the course to produce a high standard of quality work.
