VW t5 knock when disengaging clutch, the stub axle can wear over time leading to some not so pleasant gear changes. New stub axle and driveshaft change at the same time removes all the free play and allows for smooth disengaging again

The Mournes T5 conversion has went onto its new home! Before it went I decided to get some pictures of it at the view that inspired some of the design features. The view of the Mournes across Murlough and the contour map ceiling. Really happy with how the van looks finished and hope it provides the new owners plenty of great adventures.

I’m on the look out for the next replacement conversion but if you are interested in getting a conversion done or help with sections or please feel free to reach out.

🔨 Furniture Build 🔨

I recently completed a furniture fit out on a customers T5.1. The customer sourced the furniture and brought it all to me and I did the full fit out in the back to include:
• Strip out and clean of rear of van including rear double seat and floor mounts
• Diesel heater install under drivers seat
• Ply line flooring with a vinyl top
• U-shape sofa bed
• Kitchen pod
• 200ah lithium battery and dc-dc charger to include electric hookup (inverter provided by customer and also installed by me)

The furniture build items received from a local manufacturer were all stock and I made finishing adjustments to fit as well as making part of it modular and removable, meeting the needs of the customer and the option to keep the rear seat.

Keeping the customer in the loop throughout the process, we transformed an empty van into a camper!

Building campervans is more than just a job, it’s a passion.

Travelling by van opens up so many opportunities to see places hard to reach by other means. You can travel to the mountains, park up by the sea and always have the comfort of your own setting to step back into.

Everyone’s going to need different things from a van, whether a day van for short trips or living full time the requirements are going to change, what services you require in the van, does it need to hold sports equipment. This is what makes vans more individual and creating this is what I enjoy.

I have the ability to design bespoke furniture to fit each persons needs/ preferences rather than just off the shelf. Plan electric setups to suit the requirements and help do exterior upgrades to make the van more capable.

Each van to do these trips need maintenance, there’s no avoiding it and doing it regularly with decent brands helps keep your investment and home on wheels happy, servicing of oil and all filters, brakes etc is all mechanical work I’m also able to complete so it is a one stop shop.
