🏛️ HERITAGE RE-ROOFING UNDERWAY IN ALFORD

A view from the ground of one of our current projects in Alford, Lincolnshire — where The Roofing Corporation team is carrying out an extensive package of works to this Grade II Listed building.

This project goes far beyond simply replacing the roof.

We’re undertaking a full re-roof using William Blyth handmade clay pantiles, alongside a range of associated works across the property, including:

🔨 Full strip and re-roof
🧱 Brickwork repairs and restoration
🏠 Flat roofing works
💧 Guttering and rainwater goods
⚒️ Leadwork and traditional roofing details
🪵 Timber repairs and replacement where required
🏛️ Associated heritage works throughout

Working on a listed building means every element needs careful consideration, with traditional materials and appropriate methods used to help preserve the character and appearance of the property.

From ground level you can see the scale of the project — but there’s a lot more happening up on the scaffold!

We’ll be sharing more from this one as the works progress, including some of the details, materials and craftsmanship that you simply can’t see from down here.

When your Operations Director starts finding jobs a little closer to home… 😂🔨

This time the team didn’t have far to travel!

Some lovely leadwork completed to the canopy above Jade’s home office door, and we have to admit, the lads have done a cracking job. 👏

Traditional leadwork is a skill we’re incredibly proud to have within our team. Even on the smaller details of a property, getting the dressing, shaping and finishing right can make a huge difference to the overall appearance.

Apparently, though, completing the canopy has only highlighted the next job on Jade’s list… those tiled bays! 👀😂

We’ve been warned. They’re next.

Another great bit of craftsmanship from the team — even if this particular client might be slightly harder to escape from! 🤣

A real privilege to be trusted with the re-slating of St Thomas’ Church, North Willingham.

Projects like this are about so much more than simply putting a new roof on a building. Working on a historic church means respecting the craftsmanship, materials and character that have stood the test of time.

For the re-slating, we used Westmorland slate, laid in a traditional random diminishing course, retaining the beautiful, natural appearance that suits this building perfectly.

As the works progressed and the old roof was carefully stripped back, we uncovered plenty of history along the way – and there are certainly a few stories from this project that we’ll be sharing!

These photos show just a glimpse of the work involved, from stripping the existing roof and exposing what lay beneath, through to sorting and laying the slate.

A fantastic heritage project for our team and one we’re very proud to have been involved with.

👋 WE’RE BACK! 👋

It’s been a little quiet on our Social's page lately… but behind the scenes, The Roofing Corporation has been anything but quiet! 🏠🔨

We’ve had an incredibly busy few months, with our team working across a huge variety of projects — from heritage and traditional roofing through to commercial projects, re-roofs, flat roofing, leadwork, repairs and everything in between.

And because we’ve been so busy doing the work… we’ve been a little guilty of forgetting to show you what we’ve actually been up to! 😅

That’s about to change.

We’ve got LOTS to catch you up on — completed projects, before & afters, works in progress, some fantastic heritage jobs, team updates and plenty of behind-the-scenes content from our sites.

So, consider this our little “hello again” 👋

🏆 A Proud Day for The Roofing Corporation at the Meistari Roofing Awards! 🏆

We were extremely proud to attend the first ever Meistari Roofing Awards, celebrating the people, skills and dedication that make the roofing industry what it is.

Representing The Roofing Corporation on the day were our Director Chris Miller, Operations Director Jade Wilson, Site Manager Stuart Wilson, and our very own Lewis Turner, who had been shortlisted for the Ian McCarthy Award. 👏

Being nominated for an industry award is a fantastic achievement in itself, and we couldn’t have been prouder to see Lewis recognised for his hard work, attitude and progression within the roofing industry.

The day was made even more special as our Director, Chris Miller, attended in his role as Chairman of the Association of Master The Association Of Master Roofers. Chris had the honour of delivering a heartfelt speech in memory of the late Ian McCarthy, before joining Ian’s dad to present the very first award created in his name.

It was an incredibly meaningful moment and a fitting way to ensure Ian’s name and legacy continue to be remembered within the roofing community.

We’re very proud to have been part of the first Meistari Roofing Awards and to see our team represented at an event dedicated to recognising the very best of our industry.

A huge congratulations to all of the nominees and winners, and well done to everyone involved in organising such a fantastic event.

We’re already looking forward to seeing the Meistari Awards grow and become an important annual event in the roofing calendar! 🏠🏆
