🚧 Not your average day in the office!

When the job takes us underground, there’s no such thing as a conventional working environment! 👷‍♂️

Our team recently found themselves down in a live drainage culvert, carrying out detailed surveying work in some pretty challenging conditions.

Working in confined spaces, with water underfoot and limited headroom, is all part of the job when it comes to getting the data our clients need. 📐📍

At Layer Surveys, we don’t just survey the easy stuff — we go where the survey takes us!

A huge credit to the team for getting the job done safely, professionally and accurately, even when the conditions are far from ideal.

Recognition like this makes all the hard work worthwhile.

We were incredibly honoured to receive this letter from Paul Foster MP, recognising the success of our recent charity golf day in support of the Rosemere Cancer Foundation.

Our aim was simple – bring together clients, friends, suppliers and colleagues for a fantastic day of golf while raising money for an incredible local charity. To receive acknowledgement from our local Member of Parliament is something we’re extremely proud of.

This recognition isn’t just for us – it belongs to every single person who attended, sponsored a hole, donated prizes, bought raffle tickets and supported the event in any way. Your generosity has helped make a real difference to patients and their families across Lancashire and South Cumbria.

At Layer Surveys Ltd, we believe businesses should give back to the communities they work in. Supporting charities like Rosemere is something we’re passionate about, and we’ll continue to do everything we can to make a positive impact.

What a fantastic day, and an even better cause. ❤️⛳

Yesterday we had the privilege of presenting a cheque for £3,373.92 to the incredible Rosemere Cancer Foundation following the hugely successful charity golf day hosted by Layer Surveys Ltd at Penwortham Golf Club.

A huge thank you to Sue from Rosemere for coming down to meet us and accept the donation. It was wonderful to hear more about the amazing work the foundation continues to do in supporting cancer patients and services across our local community. We are delighted that the money raised will help make a real difference.

This achievement simply wouldn’t have been possible without the generosity of our amazing clients, friends and colleagues. Whether you sponsored the event, donated prizes, played on the day, or supported us in any way, every contribution helped us reach this fantastic total.

Sometimes you find the unexpected when you’re surveying below ground… 👀

While carrying out a CCTV drainage survey for one of our clients today, we came across an unusual encrustation within the pipework. With a little imagination, it bears a striking resemblance to Donald Trump! 😄

The recent heatwave has certainly made conditions more challenging, but our teams continue to show incredible dedication, professionalism, and resilience out in the field.
