When every kilogram matters, experience makes the difference.
This project at the Royal Academy of Arts, Piccadilly, London, required more than just the right equipment—it required the right approach.
Due to the floor loading restrictions inside the building, our Maeda Eco 305 spider crane couldn't be moved into position in its standard configuration. To overcome this, our team carefully removed the legs from the crane, significantly reducing its weight for transport into the building.
Using our ALMA KMK Crane Kit, we safely Unloaded the crane Legs from the lorry before tracking it through the restricted access route to its final location. Once inside, the crane was reassembled on site and made ready for lifting operations.
This method allowed us to meet the site's strict weight restrictions without compromising safety or efficiency—another example of how careful planning, specialist equipment, and an experienced team can solve even the most challenging lifting projects.
if your project involves restricted access, sensitive flooring, or complex lifting requirements, we'd be happy to help.
