Currently, ten Environment Agency areas are still experiencing drought, with England's reservoir storage levels at 55%.

However, the Met Office forecasts that Atlantic weather systems will bring episodes of rain, including some heavy showers, along with strong winds starting Friday, 9 October. These weather systems are expected to bring periods of heavy rain and strong winds; intense rainfall can still cause water to build quickly around homes and businesses.

When that happens, early action matters.
