Our latest project in Knebworth is complete! 👷♂️
A tight-access project with just enough room to get the machinery in, but plenty of hard work going into the excavation and preparation.
Our client required a 6m x 4m concrete base for a proposed new office, with additional storage areas either side.
Scope of works included:
• Removal of existing sleeper planter and of all excavation to 300mm below existing ground level.
• Removal of existing fencing and installation of 6ft panels, concrete gravel boards and slotted concrete posts to retain the existing bank and protect neighbouring gardens where required.
• Lifting and re-laying existing sandstone paving across the front of the proposed office matching existing grout colour.
• Excavation of a cable trench from the bottom of the garden to the office for armoured cable.
• Installation and compaction of 150mm MOT Type 1 sub-base.
• Construction of a 150mm thick concrete base, pumped into a 6m x 4m timber formwork, reinforced with a double layer of tied steel mesh.
All in time for the new office to be erected! 💪
