Well said Councillor Adam Brierley.

This was the first job on my list to sort for all my local customers the beginning of August.

You rightly asked me to hold off due to being told it would be done.

Actions not words….. I’ll have this safe by bank holiday Monday, most importantly BEFORE the schools go back 😊

😡 ENOUGH EXCUSES. CLEAR THE PAVEMENT.

Back in June, the County Council told us the overgrown pavement on the A583 in Kirkham would be cleared by the end of July. It wasn’t.

Now the excuse is they need a mini excavator. We’re also told there are “higher priority works” because not many people use this path and it is still considered passable. Nonsense.

People have had to step into the road to get around it. Wesham Road Runners stopped using this stretch because of the condition.

Andrew Snowden MP and I have been pushing the Council on this for some time. We made it clear this needed sorting before the schools go back.

In the meantime, Mr Clean and I have been out cutting back bushes ourselves on Station Road and Carr Lane.

We’ll do what we can, but the County Council is paid to do this work.

They knew about it. They gave us a deadline. They missed it.

No more excuses. Get it cleared before the schools go back. 👊

Our first full video of the month long community clear ups.

First one was in and around Warton and Freckleton. Thanks to Sandra and Rob who suggested the area and helped so much on the day. They were amazing.

Nice to finally meet such a community focused young man who genuinely cares for Kirkham and surrounding areas.
