Another little job ticked off for a customer 🔨👌

The customer’s washing machine had unfortunately leaked and ruined the old laminate flooring in their porch/utility area, so we were called in to get it looking right again.

Old flooring removed, area prepped and new oak-effect laminate installed throughout, finished neatly around all the existing units and pipework.

We also reinstalled and connected the washing machine — with no leaks this time 😂💧 — so hopefully this floor won’t be needing replacing again anytime soon!

A relatively small job, but a massive difference to the space. No job too big or too small. 🏠

Another job finished off for a returning customer 👌🔨

We previously completed the porcelain paving here, and the customer got us back to add the block edging around the area — giving everything a much cleaner, sharper finish and tying the garden together nicely.

Always great when customers come back to us for more work. 🙌

We’ll be back again in the near future to tackle the other side of the garden, so keep an eye out for the next stage!

A NEW CHAPTER — HANDYMAN HULL IS BECOMING HYDE

After a lot of thought, planning and work behind the scenes, we're excited to finally introduce HYDE.

What started as Handyman Hull has continued to grow and develop. Over time, the services we offer have expanded, the projects have become bigger, and our ambitions for the future have grown with them.

We felt it was time for a new name and identity that better represents the business we're becoming.

HYDE — Landscaping • Property • Build

Although the name and branding are changing, the things that matter aren't. We'll continue to provide the same reliable service, quality workmanship and attention to detail, with pride taken in every job we undertake.

HYDE represents the next stage of our journey and gives us the opportunity to continue growing across Hull & East Yorkshire while taking on bigger and more varied projects.

Most importantly, we'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported Handyman Hull — whether you've booked us for a job, recommended us to someone, shared our work or simply followed the journey.

🌿 Another garden transformation complete! 🌿

This one was all about creating a solid, long-lasting base ready for the new 40mm artificial grass.

🔨 Sleeper edging installed with a mortar haunch, giving the grass a secure edge without relying on timber being buried in the ground and eventually rotting.

💪 Type 1 MOT sub-base installed and compacted for strength and stability.

🪨 Finished with a granite dust topping layer, providing a firm, well-draining surface and helping to minimise sinkage — particularly useful in an area where the swimming pool will be emptied.

🌱 Finally, the 40mm artificial turf was fully secured using a 2-part epoxy turf adhesive for a strong, professional finish.

A proper job starts from the ground up — the preparation underneath is just as important as the grass you see on top. 👌

🚽✨ Downstairs Toilet Room Uplift

A great little transformation for a returning customer — always a pleasure to be invited back!
This downstairs toilet room has had a full refresh, including:

🔹 New high-quality 10mm laminate flooring
🔹 New toilet
🔹 New vanity unit & basin
🔹 New basin tap
🔹 New radiator
🔹 Modified the existing pipework to suit the new radiator and achieve a neat finish.

The customers are taking care of the painting themselves, which will be the perfect finishing touch to bring the room together. 🎨

A big thank you to the customers for the continued support and for the fantastic hospitality while we were there — it’s genuinely appreciated! 🙌
