Here at HVAI we are gearing up for what looks to be an extremely busy end to the calendar year with another Project awarded providing our team the opportunity to deliver across our core capabilities:
* Full electrical design package.
* Civil design review.
* Earthing works
* Supply and Installation of 1no Customer Intake Substation, inclusive of GRP housing.
* Supply and installation of 3no package substations (compromising of Transformers, Switchgear, LV Panels and GRP housings)
* 11 kV Cable installation and jointing works
* Full substation commissioning
* Energisation of the client’s 11 kV private network

Our in-house civils team have mobilised to our latest project, replacing a failed transformer within and operational solar site.

HVAI’s scope covers both civils and electrical works, including the procurement of all plant and materials.
The civils team have been hard at work with setting out, excavation, installation of ducting, and suitable backfill up to levels — ready for D Coldron Utilities to install the steelwork and shuttering ahead of concrete works later this week.
Another strong start on site, with the electrical package to follow as the foundation works progress.

A busy Saturday for our engineering teams, successfully completing a planned shutdown in a major regional distribution centre ⚡

The team carried out the replacement of 2 No. 11kV Ring Main Units, alongside the commissioning and energisation of 1 No. 11-0.433kV cast resin transformer.

All works were completed safely and efficiently within the planned shutdown period, resulting in the successful re-energisation of the sites High Voltage network and resumption of normal operation.

A great effort from everyone involved in delivering another successful project. 👏

While we won’t be exhibiting this year, members of the HVAI team will be attending the event, exploring what’s happening across the industry and, most importantly, looking forward to connecting with new and familiar faces.

Project Spotlight | Cowely Solar 132kV
What began as a relatively short-term project with a limited scope has grown significantly, giving both our engineering and technical teams the opportunity to fully showcase HVAI’s capabilities and our attention to detail.
Over the past couple of weeks, our jointing team has been on site completing the 33kV cable pulling and termination works.
As the project nears completion — with energisation now firmly in sight — our teams are preparing to return to site over the coming weeks to finalise the customer solar farm terminations and testing.
We’re looking forward to sharing a full project overview soon, highlighting some of the key milestones from this important project for HVAI.
