Well done lads👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
On Sunday we travelled to pinfold pumas for a midday clash. Having played them a few times before we knew what to expect and our team talk before the game was to stop balls into our box and react first if it come in. 10 minutes later and after three balls into our box we found ourselves 3 goals down with a mountain to climb. All of a sudden we finally woke up and started to play like we know they can. The chances started coming thick and fast and we got one back with max beating his man down the left and striking the ball on target with there keeper pulling off a good save but Oscar latched onto the rebound and made no mistake ⚽️ a few more missed opportunities came our way but we got another one back just before half time with Fred winning the ball back in the middle of the park and drove forward and slipped a great through ball into Oscar’s path who calmly slotted it under the keeper into the back of the net ⚽️ 2 minutes into the second half we got the equaliser with new signing max latching onto a loose ball in there box to smash home for his first goal for the club ⚽️ we had our tails up and continued playing brilliant quick attacking football with countless chances coming our way but the keeper and the woodwork kept us out to keep it level. After a poor first 10 minutes the lads showed great character to get back into the game and at the full time whistle we felt like we deserved all 3 points. A lot of positives to take from the game and the football we played was top notch at times, we go again next week 💪🏻
Match stats:
Goals: Oscar x2, Max
Assists: Max, Fred
MOM 🏆 Fred - changed the game and didn’t put a foot wrong in midfield or defence. Constantly won the ball back and picked out some great passes with a brilliant assist as reward.
PMOM 🏆 Oscar - constantly fouled but that fired him up to the oppositions dismay, never stopped running and scored 2 proper strikers goals and unlucky not to get more. Sponsored by Mankind Barber Co
