💧 Early morning reactive maintenance at Blue Diamond Garden Centre 🌿

Before the doors opened to customers, we isolated the mains water supply and replaced a leaking thermostatic mixing valve (TMV) serving one of the washroom facilities.

Planning works around the customer’s opening hours meant the repair was completed with minimal disruption to staff and visitors, before the garden centre got busy.

✔️ Mains water isolated safely
✔️ Faulty TMV removed
✔️ New TMV installed
✔️ Tested, commissioned and left leak-free

🚨 Another emergency repair completed today! 🚨

A delivery driver accidentally struck and snapped the property’s 40mm waste pipe, breaking it off inside the wall and causing damage to the internal waste connection.

We attended promptly, removed the damaged pipework, re-piped the waste internally and externally, renewed the affected fittings, and had everything back up and running within hours.

To assist the customer, we also provided a detailed engineer’s report documenting our findings and the repairs carried out.

Out with the old, in with the new. 👌

This week we attended a local care home after the existing boiler had become unsafe and uneconomical to repair.

The old appliance was removed and replaced with a new Worcester Bosch boiler, along with upgrades to bring the installation up to current standards, including:

✔️ New condensate pipe installation
✔️ Flue system upgraded to current regulations
✔️ Full testing and commissioning of the new boiler
✔️ Safe disposal of the old appliance

Most importantly, the residents and staff were left with reliable heating and hot water once again.

Outside Tap Installation Completed ✅🚰

A nice little job this week fitting a new outside tap for the local parish council at one of the recreational grounds where I spent plenty of time growing up with friends.

It’s always good to work on local projects, especially somewhere that brings back a lot of good memories. Glad to be able to help improve the facilities for the community and support the parish council at the same time.

Recent job completed in Cowley 🔧

Full upgrade including a new Worcester combination boiler installed in the loft and a complete bathroom renovation.

We also installed new radiators and ran new heating pipework which was chased into the walls to give a clean seamless finish.

The old bathroom was stripped out and replaced with a new bath and shower, vanity unit, toilet and heated towel rail giving the space a clean modern finish.

Always great to see the before and after on projects like this.

From tank system to combi upgrade 🔧

Wrapped up a really satisfying system conversion today.

This property originally had a traditional vented system with a hot water cylinder and electric shower. We upgraded the whole setup to a modern combi system, freeing up space and simplifying the heating and hot water for the homeowner.

The old cylinder and associated pipework were removed, and a new Worcester combi boiler was installed neatly in the airing cupboard.

We also replaced the old electric shower with a thermostatic mixer shower, now supplied directly from the combi — giving the customer much better pressure and a far nicer shower experience.

To complete the system we installed a wireless Honeywell Home T3R Wireless Programmable Thermostat, giving the homeowner simple and flexible heating control.

Work included:
✔️ Full system conversion to combi
✔️ Removal of cylinder and old system pipework
✔️ Worcester combi boiler installation
✔️ New heating and hot water pipe configuration
✔️ Thermostatic mixer shower installation
✔️ Horizontal flue installation through external wall
✔️ Condensate pump installation
✔️ Honeywell T3R wireless thermostat for heating control

Always great seeing the difference when an older system is upgraded to something modern, efficient and much simpler to run.

🚿 Bathroom Transformation – Launton, Bicester 🚿

Another bathroom renovation completed recently in Launton, Bicester. This project involved a full strip out and complete refurbishment to transform a dated bathroom into a modern, fresh and practical space.

The new bathroom features large marble-effect wall tiles, a quadrant shower enclosure with rainfall shower head, floating vanity unit, modern toilet and a chrome towel radiator to finish it off. A clean, modern look that makes great use of the space.

The customer was really pleased with the end result and kindly left us a ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5-star review, which is always great to receive after completing a job.
